"Shadow" coming soon

For any of you that saw the recent ad in the Georgia Straight (right), we are indeed preparing our next issue, "Shadow", which promises to be our most dynamic issue yet. John Hoben has a beautifully crafted and thoughtful essay that looks at God as Shadow, and artwork and photographs by Jared Goertzen, Andrea Chamberlain, Justin Keitch, and Bev Ellis, are sure to inspire and intrigue. And Tom and John, our odd-couple characters from "Two in a Pew," argue (as usual) about church fashion.
Order copies for your church or group today! We also have back copies of our previous issues available. Email plumbplumb@gmail.com.

"If": no longer just a possibility

That's right! "If" has arrived and is available now. The list of groups now distributing PLUMb has grown, and now includes Northside Foursquare Church, PoCo Christian Assembly, New Joy Community Church, Calvary Baptist Church, and Pacific Theatre. But if you can't manage to get to any of these places, you can always download a .pdf copy here. Enjoy!

Where's your Shadow?

The theme for next issue is "Shadow", which seems appropriate for winter. Send us your photos, visual art, or writing, particularly prose writing and non-fiction--we tend to receive a plethora of poetry and a dearth of prose. We are in particular need of critical essays and social commentary, and pithy flash fiction (500-700 words). Remember to read the submission guidelines (link at right) carefully!

"Fire" is out!

Well, after much sweat, our summer issue, "Fire", has finally arrived. Technically, summer isn't over, so we feel pretty proud of ourselves. You can get a copy at the venues listed in the header or, if you just can't wait, you can click here. (Apologies for the Yahoo ads and the low resolution. We're working on ways to increase the quality for the web!)
Fire features the work of Bev Ellis, Lalainia Lindbjerg Strelau, David Wood, Nancy Mickelson, Justin Brown, Jennifer Whatton, Robert Brown, Don Krause, Alvin Hew, and Mark David Smith.

"If" deadline extended to Sept. 30!
Because of several delays in getting our summer issue, Fire, out on the shelves, the deadline for our winter issue, If, will be extended to Sept. 30. So get your submissions of photography, artwork, or writing ready! No excuses! No ifs! (But don't forget to read the submission guidelines!)
